SOLO - Search Oxford Libraries Online

Still can't find what you're looking for? Try SOLO.

SOLO (Search Oxford Libraries Online) is the search and discovery tool of the major collections of the libraries of the University of Oxford. For detailed guidance on using SOLO, visit the Bodleian Libraries Guide to SOLO. There's a link to this guide at the bottom of this section, but please be aware of the information below about accessing online resources in SOLO.

Using SOLO to Access Online Resources (OUH Staff)
Anyone can use SOLO to explore library resources. However, in order to access most of the online content in SOLO, OUH staff need to join the library. If you are employed by the OUH, library membership is free. Once you’ve signed up, you will be given onsite access to these electronic resources. Just follow the steps below:

Log in to a library PC (university network) with your Bodleian Libraries username and password (you'll be given this information when you join the library).

  • Library (university network) PCs are available at: The Cairns Library (available 24/7), Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre Library and Knowledge Centre Library.
  • Alternatively, connect your personal device to the "Bodleian Libraries" Wi-Fi using these same credentials. This network is available at the abovementioned sites.
  • Finally, open SOLO and explore the available materials.

Offsite access is only possible with an Oxford Single Sign On, which are only given to members of the University of Oxford.

(OUH staff can access NHS Athens resources from anywhere).
