Introduction

Ebooks are digital versions of written works. Many ebooks have enhanced functionality, such as connectivity with reference management software, the ability to annotate and accessibility features.

Electronic books

Use the tabs at the top of this section to find out what ebook resources are available to OUH Trust staff. 

The NHS Knowledge and Library Hub is the gateway to all NHS resources so is a good starting point for your search. Use the search box to look for books. Use the search filter to limit your search results to books.   

The following is a list of ebook collections. You can browse and search across all ebooks on the provider's website and encounter titles of interest you may not have otherwise found.

The Bodleian Libraries subscribe to thousands of ebooks. This is a separate collection of online resources that are not available via OpenAthens.   

This content is available to library members. If you have a contract with the OUH Trust you are eligible for free library membership, giving you onsite access to these resources via our library computers (university network) or by connecting your device to our ‘Bodleian-Libraries’ Wi-Fi. Offsite access is only possible with an Oxford Single Sign On, which is granted to members of the University of Oxford.

Physical books

The Bodleian Health Care Libraries house a collection of around 25,000 books. Books are available for library members to borrow during staffed hours. If you have a contract with the OUH Trust you are eligible for free library membership
