European & Scandinavian/Nordic countries: quick start

Online resources available to all with access to the internet

The Law Bod shelves its collections of printed materials for the majority of individual European nationat jurisdictions on Level 3 (one floor above the entrance level). Depth of coverage varies considerably: you may discover that for some countries the print collection has an historic rather than a current emphasis. The Books page will help you make the most of our collection.

There are separate guides for the following jurisdictions - please explore the remaining pages in this guide for assistance with other countries. For online resources, please find the country you are interested in in the Jurisdictions section.

The exceptions are works on laws of the UK and NI, and the Republic of Ireland which are on Level 2.

Your searches in SOLO may well reveal other Bodleian Libraries have material which would support your research.
In most cases, if you have a current Oxford University Card or a Bodleian Reader's Card, you will already be able to access these libraries - however, please do check information on the other Libraries' own websites, particularly their location & opening hours.
