Purpose of this guide

This guide is intended for students and researchers studying the law and legal system of Italy at the University of Oxford, although students and researchers from any field may find it useful.

The Bodleian Law Library's collection of print works on Italian law has shelf marks starting Italy 

The current monograph collection, and journal issues 2000 - are on Level 3 or the Gallery, one floor up from the entrance level.

Note that the LawBod shelves surveys of law (works looking at how a legal problem/legal topic etc is dealt with by various jurisdictions/legal systems) and comparative studies in the area with the shelfmark General. They can be of particular use for the linguistically challenged (most are in English), and can be used as introductions to the topic. The current collectino of monographs with shelf marks beginning General 510 are on Level 2 (the entrance level.) General 300  is the shelmark for journals; issues 2000 and later are on Level 1, 1999 and earlier on the Ground Floor.
