Environmental Law: Legislation

English legislation

Relevant UK statutes range from those relating to public health and the domestic environment, through those concerned with protecting the environment from harm arising from industry to those pertaining to broader issues of climate change and energy management.

If you are a member of the University of Oxford and have an Oxford single sign-on, subscription databases are the best source for legislation - especially if you are looking for the current/amended state of an act.

If you are dependent on free online resources, use but take note of any warnings about status.

If you are able to come to the Library, Halsbury's Statutes (provided you use its updating services) is the best way to find English law in print.
