St Hilda's: IT in the Library

Library PCs

The Library IT room houses 4 PCs in the library basement and 1 quick print PC.Library IT room

You can log in to these using your College login and password.

There is also a catalogue search terminal for searching for resources on SOLO.

Printing

There is a colour printer, copier and scanner located in the IT Room on the Lower Ground Floor.

You can print to the library printer using:

College PC Web Browser (on your own device)* iPrint App (on your own device)*

Log in to a College PC.

Print as normal from the programme you are using.

The PC will already be connected to the College PC.

Visit airprint.sthildas.ox.ac.uk/print.

Log in with your College username and password.

Click on the drop down arrow next to the printer you want to use and select Quick Print to upload individual files.

Download Microfocus iPrint app.

Enter the server name as airprint.sthildas.ox.ac.uk and log in with your College username and password.

Upload documents to print.

*You must be connected to SHIL-WIFI or eduroam to print this way.

To release your printing, tap your Bod card on the Library printer.

Check your print credit using your college log in. 

Top up your print credit by visiting the Accounts Team (ground floor of the Anniversary Building).

Alternatively, you can use the St Hilda's payments page. Under 'Invoice Number', enter a reference such as 'Print Credit' then email the Accounts Office to let them know you have made a printing credit payment.

A4 single-sided 5p 15p
A4 double-sided 3p  (per side) 10p (per side)
A3 single-sided 8p 25p
A3 double-sided 5p (per side) 15p (per side)

Scanning

Tap your Bod card on the printer to log in select the ‘Scan’ option.

The scan will be sent to your university email.

WiFi

There are two networks you can use in college:

SHIL-WIFI

eduroam

Connect to the open "SHIL-ONBOARDING" network. You will be prompted to log in with your Single Sign On account.

Once logged in, you'll be given a WiFi code. You can use this code to connect all of your devices to the SHIL-WIFI network. The code will also be emailed to you for safe keeping.

Please do not share the code that you are given. It's personal to you, and you are responsible for the traffic originating from devices logged in with it.

If you have never set a password please ask a member of library or IT staff.

 

Oxford Single Sign-On

This is the username and account IT Services gives you when you are a member of the University of Oxford.

Username: SHIL1234@ox.ac.uk
Password & multi-factor authentication: created on activating your account
