Actresses and entertainers

Actors and Actresses, Musicians and Opera Singers, Dance Programmes, Our Concert programmes are not catalogued or digitised.

Our playbills and theatre programmes are catalogued and (with the exception of the 20th century) digitised.

18th century Entertainment is on Digital Bodleian

19th century Entertainment is on  ProQuest. There are specific search screens for Entertainment, but searching  across all sections will find advertisements of products endorsed by actresses, singers, etc, prints, etc. 

20th century Theatre is catalogued in our own online catalogue without images (to London Q)

All performers are indexed, regardless of their status, enabling careers to be followed
