THE LIBRARY IS CURRENTLY CLOSED TO EXTERNAL READERS DUE TO BUILDING WORK

• If you need to consult a book or other library material that is only available at Nuffield during the closure, this will still be possible on an exceptional basis – please email library@nuffield.ox.ac.uk to request access.
• If you are due to attend a seminar in the Library’s Cole Room, this will continue to be possible – the organiser will make arrangements for access for the seminars.

We do not yet have an end date for the works. We will update this page and communicate via social media and email as soon as we do.

Current members of Nuffield College (including Associate Members) will still be able to use the Library 24 hours a day, 7 days a week but the access route may change.

Books in Nuffield College Library can be found using SOLO

Registration for use of the Library is renewed annually and offered to:

1. Members and Associate members of the College, former members of the College
2. Graduate students and staff from other Oxford Colleges and University institutions
3. Such other persons as may be admitted from time to time by the Librarian.

Current members of the College will either be registered automatically or receive a welcome email with a link to register.

Former members of the College, and graduate students and staff from elsewhere in the University, must register online

All members of Nuffield College may borrow from the Library

The following have limited borrowing rights (3 books)

1. Former members of Nuffield College
2. Members of St Antony's College
3. Research postgraduates (i.e. DPhil students) and members of academic staff at Oxford University
4. Taught course postgraduates (i.e. Masters students) in Sociology.

Please note: other taught course (Masters) students and undergraduates may not borrow. The Library has a reference collection of core reading list material for social science courses 

If you have questions or need help using the Library or finding the resources you need for your research, you are welcome to book a time to speak to a member of Library staff via Teams. You can find the booking form on our intranet page.
