You can easily transfer references between your EndNote library and your EndNote Online library using Transfer with EndNote. With EndNote X5 onwards, file attachments can also be transferred.
Share references with your colleagues by creating groups in EndNote online.
You can allow some group members to edit references in the group library, but give others read only access.
Note that an EndNote online account is required to access an EndNote online group.
An EndNote app for the iPad is available. It can be purchased and downloaded through Apple's iTunes store.
EndNote is desktop software. The most recent version is EndNote X9. The University has a subscription to EndNote which means you can install EndNote for free on to a University-owned computer (for instance, a desktop in your department) or a personal device. EndNote is also installed on some library computers.
To install EndNote on a University-owned computer, ask your local IT help for advice. To install EndNote on a personal device, please find instructions and versions for Windows and Mac on IT Services' website.
EndNote Online (previously EndNote Web) is web-based software and can be used to transport your EndNote library, but is also available to all Oxford University members through the university's subscription. A computer with EndNote installed is not required to use EndNote online.
