Ornithology: Grey Literature

Tip: Limit your SOLO search to items in the Alexander Library, by changing the drop-down option 'Search Everything' to 'Alexander Library'

The Alexander Library has a large grey literature collection (journal offprints, reports) which is collectively known as the Alexander Library Reprint Collection. Much of this material is not listed on SOLO.

It is divided into 3 series:

To find specific items (journal offprint, report etc.) search:

• SOLO - Oxford University's online catalogue for individual titles.

Then search the card catalogue:

• Search the Alexander Library card catalogue by author. Ask Library staff if you would like to consult this as it is held offsite.

To find all items on a topic:

• Whole boxes of material on a particular topic can be brought back from offsite storage for consultation. To check what topics we hold see our handlists for each collection:
