Manuscript Cataloguing project

In 1995, the Higher Education Funding Council England awarded the Library a grant for the full cataloguing and proper conservation of these papers and the above-linked summary catalogue therefore represents the first stage in making this wide range of material known to scholars generally.

Mss. items not listed in the summary catalogue

The Taylorian also possesses a wide range of other, usually bulkier, manuscripts ranging from fourteenth century Germany to modern Latin America, including some volumes containing unlisted items by a large number of persons. At present these are covered by the Library's card catalogue only, where they are described in a fairly general manner.

All items in the Mss. collection are available for consultation upon request (subject to condition and staff availability).
