Plant Taxonomy: Databases

The aim is to list useful resources and research tools (both print and online) for plant taxonomists and to encourage you to seek help in finding information - making the best use of libraries and online resources.
Subjects: Plant Taxonomy

Bibliographic Databases for Biosciences

Bibliographic databases can be used to locate journal articles, conference proceedings, books and patents on a particular subject or by a particular author. The following bibliographic, abstract, and full text databases provide good coverage of material in the biosciences.

Subscription databases

Oxford subscribes to a large number of research databases. Bibliographic databases can be used to locate journal articles, conference proceedings, books and patents on a particular subject or by a particular author. Subscription databases can be found and accessed through OxLip+.

If you are on campus you can access most databases directly. If you are off campus you will be asked to login for remote acces to library resources using your SSO (Single Sign-On).

Further help in using OxLip+ can be found in the OxLip+ LibGuide and a brief introduction to OxLip+ is provided in the YouTube video below.
