Bodleian iSkills for the Medical Sciences Division and OUH staff: Introduction to Endnote

Do you need help managing your references? Do you need help citing references in your documents? This session will introduce you to Endnote X9, which can help you to store, organise and retrieve your references and PDFs, as well as cite references in documents and create bibliographies quickly and easily.

Objectives:

  • understand what Endnote is and what it can do for you
  • import references from PubMed
  • import references directly from a database such as Ovid Embase
  • import references from Google Scholar
  • manage PDFs
  • deduplicate references in an Endnote Library
  • create a bibliography
  • cite references in Word documents

Intended Audience:   Postgraduate students, researchers and university and OUH staff based on the Old Road Campus or in Medical Sciences Division departments elsewhere in Headington.

YOU WILL ALSO NEED YOUR BODLEIAN WIFI OR EDUROAM LOGIN CREDENTIALS - PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ONE OF THESE AT THE SESSION

Good news:  From 1st August Endnote will be free of charge for Oxford University members. Currently, Endnote is only free of charge if installed on computers belonging to Oxford University.  However, from 1st August 2019 Oxford University will have a new licence for Endnote, under which members of the University can install EndNote on a computer that belongs to them personally, without further cost.
