EndNote X8 is a desktop based reference management tool for Windows and Macs which helps you to build libraries of references and insert them into your Word document as in text citations or footnotes and automatically generate bibliographies. This introduction to EndNote is open to all.

Please note: The computers at IT Services have EndNote installed so that you can use the product in this workshop. If you are interested in pursuing EndNote after this workshop, please note that, currently, those with a University computer can install EndNote for free using the University’s institutional subscription but if you do not use a University computer, a licensed copy of EndNote will need to be purchased for your personal computer (https://help.it.ox.ac.uk/shop/downloads). However, from August 2019 onwards, the University subscription to EndNote extends to personal devices so you will be able to install the software for free on your personal computer from that date.
