Biology: Workshops

Introduction

The Bodleian Libraries host free workshops and classes to help you effectively search for and access scholarly materials. Topics include literature searching, keeping up to date with new research, reference management and measuring research impact.

On this page you will find details of centrally coordinated workshops that are part of the Bodleian iSkills programme and subject-specific workshops organised by your subject librarian.

Biology training

You can find recorded video introductions to using the library to help you find books and services relevant for biology at the link below.

One to one research consultations are available with your librarian. We can help with topics such as developing search strategies for literature reviews, how to find material in the library collections using SOLO and other library search tools, tutorials on how to use particular databases such as Web Of Science or Scopus and advice on using reference management software. To book an appointment, please contact oliver.bridle@bodleian.ox.ac.uk.
