Note: if you are a non-SBS student you MUST book during our normal staffed hours.

Access

Bloomberg can be accessed on one terminal within the Sainsbury Library.

The Sainsbury Library terminal is mainly for Saïd Business School users. All users should use their Bodleian Libraries account to log into the terminal, then set up a personal Bloomberg account.

Use the online booking form to arrange access.

Data limits

The Bloomberg terminal has a monthly download limit which is remotely enforced by Bloomberg.  When the terminal is at its monthly limit users will see #N/A LIMIT error message in Excel.  The data limit will automatically reset on the first of the month.

Please remember that systematic downloading is not allowed.  Be considerate of fellow users - always download only what you need.

The keyboard

You may have noticed that the keyboards on the Bloomberg terminal looks a bit unusual. This is because it is designed so that you can access information very quickly (once you've learned how). There is a headphone jack located at the back of the keyboard, use this for listening to audio on the terminal with your own headphones.
