History collections on open-shelves in the Old Bodleian, Radcliffe Camera and Weston Library: Upper Camera

History books may be found in the gallery (S.HIST.1-20 and S.HIST.TEMP), with the exception of reference material (S.HIST.REF), which is located on free-standing shelves situated on the left hand side of the main level. Please note that material covering the history of Asia and North Africa can be found at S.HIST.17-20. There is also a collection of books from the former Indian Institute. The collection is particularly strong on British and Western European History but has growing provision for global history. It is primarily derived from undergraduate and postgraduate reading lists and has few foreign-language titles.
