Try a Google search, especially for journal articles, as you may be able to find them freely available online.

Education collections outside Oxford

Oxford Brookes University has a collection to support teacher training and educational research. Their collections are particularly valuable for topics such as early years, primary and special education. They will permit you reference access. 

The Institute of Education in London aims to collect all material published on education in this country, and their catalogue is an excellent search tool.

The British Library is one of the largest research institutions in the world. You can search their collections using their Integrated Catalogue.

You can search other major UK and Irish university and research libraries through COPAC

If you wish to borrow material from another university, we may be able to get it for you through interlibrary loan.

Request a book from outside Oxford

If you want to read something which is not available in Oxford, we will try to find it for you from another library. This is known as an interlibrary loan.
